This morning at about 01h00 am a car hit the electricity tower causing a major power interruption that affected Houghton, Killarney, Melrose, Inanda,

Bramley, Edenvale, Greenstone, Longmeadow and Alexandra.

City Power technicians re-connected electricity to Houghton, Killarney, Melrose, Inanda and Bramley at 07h00 am this morning.

Our technicians are currently busy with the repair process and City Power will continue to provide hourly updates on this outage as and when information

becomes available.
