19-11-2012: City of Johannesburg’s libraries go online
The City of Johannesburg invites members of the media to attend the launch of the Public Access to Internet in Libraries (PAIL) by the Executive Mayor, Clr Parks Tau on Wednesday, 21 November 2012 at Orlando East Library.
The City of Johannesburg is making progress in offering free Public Access to Internet in Libraries at every public library.
The implementation of PAIL is framed within the City’s Joburg 2040 Growth and Development Strategy (Joburg 2040 GDS) which commits the City of Johannesburg to provide the public with free access to internet, electronic resources and make technology available at all the City’s libraries.
