2009-10-27: Illegal occupation and sale of vacant land
The City of Johannesburg notes with concern the illegal occupation of land in certain parts of Eldorado Park. We want to caution residents to refrain from such action immediately. The Metro police will remove illegal land occupants and demolish any structures erected.
We also want to warn Eldorado Park residents not to lose their hard earned money by buying land form a certain person pretending to be a Council official. This is unlawful and a criminal offence.
Should you be in possession of any information regarding the fraudulent sale of land or properties in Eldorado Park, Lenasia and Soweto, urgently contact the City of Joburg Property Company fraud hotline on 0800265572.
Joburg Property Company does not send out agents to sell Council land. Land is sold through public notice in newspapers.
